AGARTALA, July 1 (TIWN): Since the midnight with the GST implementation, the discussions, celebrations, debates are going on across social media and the major question that instigating 'strong-debates' is : How far Modi Govt has done for poor people, small retailers ? At Agartala some auto drivers have started to hike the fair as there is no chart-practice for auto fares in Tripura. But most interestingly, when media attempted to survey the market-prices of daily commodities the vegetable sellers told media, 'What is GST ?' One retailer at Math Chowmuhani said, "I don't know what is GST, neither it has affected me". Another retailer said, "What do with GST ? We did not get any notice for it". Lastly, another small shop-keeper said, "If I understood GST then would I have become a vegetable seller??". The retailers however, showed 'no interest' to talk to media and better they thought to 'continue business'.

 However, among all the chaos, a retailer had expressed concern about the probable price hike due to the GST implementation. 

Another section of retailer were in support of GST as they supported Modi's demonetization. With these experience, one thing is clear that the queries & confusions need to be cleared as  in the name of GST the unruly auto drivers as usual have started to increase the fare along with some shop-keepers.

But who will clear the confusions ? As it's Left Front ruled state that boycotted GST session for their political oppositions will naturally want the prices should be hiked so that blames can be dumped on Central Govt.

State Opposition BJP who has been celebrating GST since midnight, but will they give this mass education about GST ?

GST is nothing but very simple tax giving system, which will keep the price balance across the nation. For example for importing a product a businessmen has not to pay here and there taxes from Delhi, Kolkata, Churaibari etc, but a single tax system will ease the business and down the price.
