AGARTALA, June 26 (TIWN): Claiming that Congress's protest is fully responsible for CBI's entrance in Tripura, Congress MLA Gopal Roy said, "CBI investigation has been the much awaited demand of Congress in Tripura that looted 14 lakhs people's money here". Blaming CPI-M only responsible for sheltering chitfund since 80's Era, the MLA said, "In the CBI alarming situation, it's important to remind that during 1st and Second CPI-M Governance from 80's Era the chit fund owners started to visit in state, whereas in 1988 to 1992 in Congress Era chit fund groups were invisible. Again from 1993 under Dasarath Deb the chit fund again started to grow but finally from 1998 since Manik Sarkar became the Chief Minister of Tripura, the Chit funds started to build the foundation". "In 2000 Manik Sarkar was the law minister, whereas Badal Choudhury was the finance minister but even after multiple pressures given to the ruling CPI-M to implement Protection of Interest of Depositor it was not implemented in due time", Roy added.

"However, in the year 2000 during Manik Sarkar's Law Ministry the law was implemented, but the rules were activated in the year 2007 that included various basic laws for trade", said Roy.

"But surprising matter is that even after the law was implemented, but continuously the chit fund groups were expanding largely after 2007. In 2013, after arrests of Chit Fund chiefs started to be arrested then CM just informed his DMs, SDMs of his state, whereas no bank accounts were seized. In 2013, 2nd May Assam Govt had called for CBI inquiry against all chit fund groups, but Tripura did not ! ", said Roy.

When CBI asked Tripura to send status of Chit Fund only 27 companies names were given but Rose Valley's name was out of the list. Then after Congress protested, the Govt again sent the list to CBI adding 10 more names, but out of these 37 companies names there were 3 cases against Rose Valley in total with only amount of 15,400 rupees records, that led CBI to deny inquiry against Tripura Rose Valley".

"My Question is how from 2013 to 2016  when Rose Valley was almost no more, then 6,000 cores could be deposited under the company ?? That shows Manik Sarkar's intention", Roy said.

The MLA further demanded for the lost-money of the depositors should be returned and Bijita Nath should be suspended as Sahid Choudhury was suspended for his terror-suspect activities or she may give resign.
