AGARTALA, June 12 (TIWN): A cyclonic circulation can be marked over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and adjoining areas. Already, rain and thundershowers occurred at many places over Jammu and Kashmir, parts of Assam, Meghalaya and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Isolated rains were observed over Himachal Pradesh, North Punjab and Kerala. Tripura and other Northeast states, neighboring country Bangladesh are undergoing heavy cyclone threat leading danger-warning for people going outside. After the extreme summer experienced in last few days, Bay of Bengal was finally intensified with cyclone storms effecting the adjacent areas of it. The cyclone may come in dangerous form, along with a consistent rain here. After sustaining strength of deep depression for a very short duration, the system over east-central Bay of Bengal has finally intensified into cyclonic storm Mora. Not only this, conditions are still favourable for Mora to further strengthen into a severe cyclonic storm during the next 12 hours.
Weather Forecast for next 24 hours will be lead by scattered rains over Jammu and Kashmir. Rain intensity is likely to increase over northeastern states. Light to moderate rains, with one or two heavy falls are expected over the region. Andaman and Nicobar Islands will record scattered rain activity, while Kerala will see some isolated showers. Heatwave conditions will continue over Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra and Vidarbha.
