AGARTALA, May 29 (TIWN): Demanding 7th Pay Commission, opposition BJP continues with protests across Tripura. On Monday, a deputation was placed before all the SDMs of all subdivisions in the state with the issue of delaying 7th Pay Commission's implementation by left front govt. At Agartala SDM Soumit Choudhury also received the 7th Pay Commission demand paper from BJP. This move was completed as per pre-schedule after BJP completed its ‘Signature Campaigning’ on May-24 for all the Govt Employees in support of 7th Pay Commission. BJP State Observer Sunil Deodhar in this regard said. ‘I had promised the employees that if BJP comes in power, then within 6 months 7th Pay Commission will be implemented, then State President Biplab Deb after discussing with the Central Govt announced it with 3 months, but new circulation has come that after the first cabinet meeting the 7th pay commission will be implemented. The 7th pay commission has been the long cherished dream for all Govt employees in Tripura, but after 4th pay commission, no pay commission was implemented in Tripura".

Recently Finance Minister Bhanulal Saha announcing a Rs. 600 crores of budget set a pension & salary review committee which generated multiple political / non-political protests across the state.

In this situation, opposition BJP is repeatedly promising about 7th pay commission turning heavy upon the ruling CPI-M.

On the other hand Bhanulal Saha review committee is yet undecided about the salary structure which may satisfy the Govt Employees.

BJP National President Amit Shah said, “7th Pay Commission have been implemented in all the BJP states, why not in Tripura ? It’s a shame for CPI-M Govt that it could not implemented 7th pay commission when maximum states are enjoying”

However, with all these a huge excitement have gripped Tripura State Govt and Pensioners with BJP's promise 1 year ahead of Assembly Election as BJP promised if it comes in power it will first launch 7th pay commission before taking any other decision for the state.
