AGARTALA, May 28 (TIWN): After Viswa Hindu Parishad (VHP) interrupted the ongoing illegal cattle smuggling at Bishalgarh on Saturday, thus following the chaos like situation there the security has been tightened across the border and Bishalgarh’s Jangalia area.
In communist ruled Tripura, the sudden increasing of VHP not only increased resentment among the ruling party members but chances of clashes also developed. So keeping no space for any untoward incident, the security has been tightened in state to avoid further similar incidents.
A chaos-like situation has gripped Bishalgarh, when illegal cattle smuggling was interrupted by Go-rakhsha Bahini on Saturday. According to source the cattle were illegally smuggled towards Bangla border, without any papers with the goers.
However, Viswa Hindu Parishad (VHP) member via various press meet s kept on announcing that if cattle smuggling is not controlled, there will be mass protest in coming days led by VHP.
Cattle smuggling is radically increasing via Indo-Bangla border of Tripura especially in Sepahijala Dist. On Dec 2 A vehicle was seized by Tripura police with 4 half dead cows inside it.Although police failed to nab the smugglers but vehicle has was recovered, which was reportedly passing via Sonamura border.
Encountering cattle smuggling at Indo-Bangla border under Sephajala Dist. one Muslim man was killed when BSF troopers, while on patrol along the India-Bangladesh border in Tripura, opened fire suspecting him to be a smuggler police said here on March 24.
Sonamura Border area become the corridor of smuggling cows and buffaloes to Bangladesh for last few months. Cattle smuggling rising day by day through Indo Bangla Border by smugglers under Sonamura Sub Division. Then using different routes, they reach the border area and smuggle them at night. But the official claims are different from Tripura Police.
