AGARTALA, May 24 (TIWN): Asking about 15436 vacant posts for teachers in school education dept, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar said, "We don't have enough B.Ed candidates to fill up those vacancies. In this crisis situation, I am requesting the other teachers to do more hard work so that crisis is not felt with your dedication".
"Although the teacher-student ration has been increased with the 10,323 teachers unexpected judgement at the SC, but still we have more teachers in compare to other states", Sarkar said.
"Also Govt have sent letters to HRD Minister to look after the age relaxation issue of the 10,323 teachers, so that they can come up with B.Ed. degree in that time. Not only this, 3 Tripura Govt officials are sitting all time at the Delhi office so that our work is done and everyday we are calling at Human Resorce Office for update", said Sarkar.
However, whereas more than 200 TET qualified youths are unemployed and deprived of offer letters with thousand of B.Ed qualified teachers sitting unemployed or working in private schools, Manik Sarkar almost giving a red signal to 'fill up vacancies' gave a bundles of illogical excuses in the Assembly.
However, opposition MLA RAtan Lal Nath told Manik Sarkar that if he searches, he will find how many B.Ed holders are in Tripura yet to get jobs.
