KAILASHAHAR, May 21 (TIWN): Being the Home Minister of a small state, Manik Sarkar never visited the spot, where live 126 bombs had been recovered on May-7, but with the passing of 2 weeks the local people are under threat, especially after twin-grenade blast done by the officials which created an instant panic. Children, animal even elders who were pushed from the centre of the grenades became much afraid with the terrible sounds of those bombs. But neither Home Minister visited the spot not he sent his Police Chief to inquiry the place and to find out damage-chances. It was on Friday, that the grenades were finally disabled, but causing heavy losses to the households there, but the chopper rider CM couldn't mange times and sustain the people about their safety. As a result, the operation was held as per the wills, amidst much objections from the locals.
Tripura officials and Shilchar officials together worked to disable the grandees, SP Ajit Pratap Singh told media here. However, with the permission of CJM court the operation was held successfully, but against the will of the locals since yesterday announcements were done regarding the safety issues, alerting the public about the 2 blasts to be held to test the power of the grandees.
Whereas local people asked not to blast the grandees there, but instead of blasting the grenades far away, the local people were pushed from there and the blast was done on the spot, resulted cracks developed in walls and some houses.
The locals further claimed for compensation and proper checking of the whole area, whereas any grenade left there inside the soil.
Moreover, whether the bombs were actually much old or not, nothing has been said clearly ensuring the lack of seriousness among the Home Ministry's Dept in Tripura.
