AGARTALA, May 17 (TIWN): Modi Govt's 'Make In India' project is yet to get response-value from Northeast state Tripura, left Tripura's industry growth at zero percent till day even after various central govt projects launched for Industry-growth. The claim of oppositions that Tripura Govt is launching GST just to draw compensation money from the Centre has been proven for once again as 'true', when under Modi Govt's initiative representatives from Assam, Jharkhan, Gujraj had joined the table but from Tripura only Industry Principal Secretary M Nagaraju remained present, whereas after delivering his speech at the beginning of the very programme M Nagaraju left the hall when World Bank Team was delivering the key notes on successful implementation of reforms.

Nagaraju told the other states representatives 'to have an evening walk & to see the developments including Indo-Bangla projects and commercial works. V G Jenner, Special Secretary to Industry & Commerce, representatives from Government of Jharkhand, Government of Assam, Chattisgarh, Uttarakhand, Govt of Telengana. But this programme has not at all received the deserved importance from Tripura Govt, Pragna Bhawan's Hall-4 seemed quite dull.

The discussion was basically on 'how to ease business for the Industrialists and how to give relief them from various complicated paper works, pending Govt issues when they come to do a business here.

The Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in partnership with the World Bank Group, released the Business Reform Action Plan (BRAP) 2017 for implementation by States/UTs on April 13, 2017.

The BRAP includes 405 recommendations for reforms on regulatory processes, policies, practices and  procedures spread across 12 reform areas, that is, labour regulation enablers; contract enforcement; registering property; inspection reform enablers; single window system; land availability and allotment; construction permit enablers; environmental registration enablers; obtaining utility permits; paying taxes; access to information and transparency enablers and sector specific reforms spanning the lifecycle of a typical business.

But in that crucial meeting, the response from Tripura Govt was utter dull that despaired Make-In-India project finally.
