NLFT threat announced by Tripura Chief Minister ahead of Assembly Election-2018 : ‘Why CM hiding terrorists' names, silent without action ?’, asks opposition

AGARTALA, May 17 (TIWN): Tripura may see various pre-poll tragic incidents, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, who is also the Home Minister has already given a signal for it. After Manik Sarkar delivered a controversial speech on May 1st on labours day, it was at Belonia in SFI’s rally that CM unfolded a very sensitive issue openly before the mass . Sarkar clearly said, "A section of political leaders belonging to opposition parties are trying to contact the new leader of NLFT to create violence ahead of the assembly elections. This clandestine plan is also to disturb peace and on going development activities in the state”. Immediately BJP leader Subal Bhowmik raised question, “Doesn’t matter whom Manik Sarkar targeted, but after his speech it’s clear that he knows the details about the gang. “It’s very dangerous that Home Minister is not taking any action knowing fully well about the anti-national people residing his state, who are trying to trigger violence with NLFT. Being the home minister it’s his utmost duty to reveal the name and take some actions”, said Bhowmik.

“Manik Sarkar has to reveal about the anti-national political leaders names which he claimed as he knows. Otherwise it has to be accept that CM has direct link with NLFT”, said Bhowmik.

Bhowmik also said this is CPI-M’s attempt to set the stage for violence before the poll, as it did before few days during Amit Shah’s visit.

However, tension has erupted after Manik Sarkar’s open threat about NLFT, whereas question is raising, if Manik Sarkar knows everything, why he is silent and sitting without action ? “CM’s role under scanner…”, alleges opposition parties.
