AGARTALA, May 15 (TIWN): 'In Quran nowhere it's written, if you do not eat beef you are not Muslim', BJP National President of Minority Morcha Abdul Rasheed Ansari told Tripura media at BJP Office on Monday. 'Hindus never tell us to stop eating beef, but they have certain sentiments about Gay-Mata and they are thus against illegal butcheries and staying in a democratic society it's our duty to take care of their emotions too", said Ansari. 'Being a Muslim we can eat goat, chicken everything. Quran doesn't dictate that we have to eat beef in respect of being Muslim', Ansari added. This question of Go-Raksha was raised by state media persons as Go-Raksha had become a critical issue in state Tripura, halting the illegal transport of cows via Indo-Bangla border and BJP leaders interference in it. State police also now keeping sharp eyes over cow smuggling to neighboring Bangladesh, which was reacted by CPI-M leader Goutam Das slamming BJPs. In this regard, recently giving a strict warning to the smugglers BJP said, "We are not against Beef consuming, but illegal smuggling, theft of cows from households".

‘I want to ask the Chief Minister and all the people of Tripura, Indo-Bnagla smuggling is good for us ?’, said Tripura BJP State Observor Sunil Deodhar.

‘Just wait and watch many illegal things will be stopped in state, including phesedyl smuggling’, Deodhar added.

‘I also want to ask my Muslim brothers, either we are Muslim or Hindu either BJP or Communist, which child grow up in our state without cow’s milk ? After mother’s milk, it’s only cow, who like other mother sustain us. This is not about religion, but our tradition and food culture’, says Deodhar.

‘Either BSF or police whoever is supporting illegal export-import will be heavily punished’, said Deodhar. 

Abdul Rasheed Ansari  further said that it's other Political parties who since the independence has been preserved an unnecessary religious tension just for politics. 'PM Modi never supported Gujrat violence , neither BJP does', said Ansari.
