AGARTALA, April 16 (TIWN): Biplab Deb led State BJP failed to capitalize Supreme Court’s March 29 historic verdict cancelling Manik Sarkar led CPI-M Govt’s 10323 teachers recruitment corruption. Immediately after the verdict, Sunil Deodhar, Biplab Deb led State BJP conducted multiple press meets where it was announced that BJP would file a High Court case, FIR and pitch for CBI enquiry but after 18 days Party failed to scratch even citadel of Manik Sarkar. Biplab Deb’s political immaturity and closeness with Manik Sarkar coterie could be one of reasons behind this mystery. Demonetization was an excellent and wise step taken by Prime Minister Modi, but CPI-M in Tripura and TMC at West Bengal had shaken the whole country and made the people to believe stories of 70 people died in demonetization, but what BJP as the Tripura’s strongest opposition has done so far after the biggest ever scam of 10,323 teachers' recruitment revealed just one year ahead of Assembly Election? CPI-M has successfully managed the vote banks of those 10,323 teachers already, but BJP even after claiming for CBI inquiry against the scam has failed to lodge a single FIR against Tripura Govt.

This scam revelation was a golden opportunity for  BJP to hit the party and send some of them in jail, which happened already at West Bengal  with Sarada and Rose Valley issue.

The gentle faces of BJP leaders are not enough to approach the voters, but when it claims itself as the strongest opposition party, it should have minimum responsibilities to keep their promises, especially when BJP is ruling at Centre. On March 29, 2017 immediately after the verdict given at SC, BJP State President Biplab Deb promised that BJP will go for CBI inquiry in this case, but after passing 18 days, it has been known that West Police Station had not accepted the FIR against the Govt yet.

On the next day of the verdict challenging BJP's claim about CBI inquiry, Trinamool MLA Sudip Barman told media that if BJP thinks that any party can file case against a govt then they are living in a 'fools paradise'. It is the teachers who can file case against the Govt. But proving Barman's claim as true BJP Yuva Morcha has failed to file any case till day. Question also raised why BJP could not manage some of those 10,323 teachers who will be ready to file the case ?

Talking to Tinku Roy, BJP Yuva Morcha President on Sunday, he told TIWN that on last 30th March, the party workers went to West Police Station following a rally to lodge an FIR, but first police sought 5 days time to think over it but then they declined for FIR loading following that BJP Yuva Morcha sat in demonstration at Orient Chowmuhani for uncertain period of time. However, later police forced them to move from there. Roy further said, BJP will continue their protest against the activity of police.

However, after all these, question raises whether CBI inquiry would be conducted in this case or not. Or it will dump under files, just as the chit fund cases widening the way for an easy escape for corrupted officials and ministers.
