AGARTALA, July 13 (TIWN): The mega quiz event of Tripura, jointly organised by tripurainfoway.com (TIWN) and Headlines Tripura is going on since morning at Agartala Town Hall with pomp and gaiety.The Tripurainfoway-Headlines mega quiz started amidst massive response at Agartala on Sunday.
The quiz, played in pairs, started with a random screening round ending in eight finally selected teams. The game proceeded with seven further rounds through the final round.
The Chief Minister of the state- Manik Sarkar inaugurated the ceremony by lighting the ceremonial lamp and attended the function as chief guest. The Chief Secretary Sanjay Kumar Panda, Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Ashutosh Jindal, renowned lawyer- Pijush Kanti Biswas graced the dais as special guests while Managing Director of Headlines Tripura- Dibakar Debnath, Managing Director of TIWN- Soumen Sarkar and other dignitaries remained present in the programme.
More than 400 contestants in 180 teams have participated in the quiz event. The each two-member team was selected based on the score of their performance. The main round of the event is going on. The selection round was started from 10 am in the morning. A vast number of audiences are enjoying the mega quiz programme from the morning.
After the completion of the event, the winner team would be awarded by two laptops; the first runner up team and the second runner up team will get two desktops and two handsets respectively. Besides, a huge number of attractive prizes will be distributed among the winning audiences present in the mega event.
