AGARTALA, March 27 (TIWN): Tripura CPI-M’s 24 years rule turned ADC (Autonomous District Council) another corruption den as various misappropriations under scanner. Evenafter much complaints and disappointments from a larger section of Tripura people, Tripura Govt created ADC in 1985 with the aim to upgrade that hilly region with Central aids. In the name of ADC, funds had been overflowed in state, but the tribals yet to see the development there. The people who left hills are living better lives and the people who have become state leaders and promised to develop hills, hardly visit that isolated parts of state unless election is knocking the door.

Such politicians sons, daughters although leading lives in abroad, but state Tripura left with empty industrialization resulting 7 lakhs unemployed youths now in state. One Naresh Jamatia has lost his image with his friend Joy Kishore's womanizing activity, others are reeling under Income Tax Dept's threats. In this condition almost it will be 5 time that CPI-M is planning to come in power but its ADC remained as ADC and ADC will be kept as ADC only so that Central fund may keep on coming.

The Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) Act 1979 was passed by the Indian parliament after a series of democratic movements launched by the Indigenous people of Tripura, under the provision of the 6th scheduled of the Indian constitution. But it actually came into being from 18 January 1982 and later it was upgraded under the provision of the 6th schedule to the Indian constitution with effect from the 1 April 1985 by the 49th amendment to the Constitution of India.  But the TTAADC eveafter ruling by Tribal leaders as RadhaCharan Debbarma, no development could be brought here.

Although protesting against regional parties for a separate state’s demand the left front party always attempts to show itself as unbiased and unfollwed by Tribal-Bengali clashes; but the ultimate question which remained unsolved yet is why after enjoying the special category and receiving crores and crores of funds in the name of hill-developments the ADCs are not yet developed.

Talking on the background of IPFT, INPT, NCT for their illogical demands about a separate state, Tripura opposition parties are blaming the State Govt as responsible for raising such thoughts in Tribals mind. In the name of Tripura GanamuktiParishad, CPI-M trying to limiting the power of regional parties, so that ADC areas remain under CPI-M’s control, but at the same time instead of free flowing of Central funds ; the Ministers and MPs hardly visit the ADC areas to check the developmental status.
