AGARTALA, March 26 (TIWN): Amidst Indo-Bangla good relation and celebration of Bangladesh's Independence Day at Agartala town hall, some hidden issues could not be ignored to discuss-- as increasing tortures upon Hindus at neighboring Bangladesh and preference of Koran instead of other religion books, eventhough both India and Bangladesh are known as 'secular' countries. TBSE President Mihir Deb although tuned his voice against BJP led Central Govt of India and town halls first row on Sunday was occupied by all CPI-M comrades as Goutam Das, but Mihir Deb raised question, 'why in some TV channels of Bangladesh whole day Islamic talks are held, where highly educated and social figures cites example from Kroan'. 'The religion once killed millions of people and once again if the mistake is repeated, it will be more dangerous', said Mihir Deb. However, the TBSE President claimed that the nation was divided not by Muslim League but by persons like Shyama Pada Mukharjee, which was however an unexpected political comment in a sensitive issue by a Board President at town hall before foreign delegates. Chief Minister Manik Sarkar also mentioned that there are some hidden threats at neighboring Bangladesh trying to kill the peace affecting India too. 'India and Bangladesh both should maintain its secularity', said Sarkar.

But, reacting over Mihir Deb's speech the host from Bangladesh mentioned that they have full faith in PM Sheikh Hasina and everyone will follow her direction there. But the representatives from India including the chief minister failed to control their mouths from Anti-Central criticism. CM said, "The condition of India is also not well and here Hindus are over highlighted here, whereas both India and Bangladesh would maintain their secularity".

However, Bangladesh representatives thanked India for their extreme helps during liberation war of the country, which Bangladesh would never forget.

It's worthy to mention here that a few days after the Pakistani forces had unleashed massive attacks across that country, Bangladeshi leaders vowed to win their independence on March 26, 1971, when Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman launched a massive guerilla fight against the then Pakistani rulers.

The Liberation War later turned into a full-scale India-Pakistan War, leading to the surrender of 93,000 Pakistani soldiers in Dhaka on December 16, 1971. India was the first country to recognise Bangladesh as sovereign nation.

According to Bangladeshi freedom fighters and experts, Pakistani forces during the nine months of Liberation War (March 26 to December 16, 1971) massacred over three million Bengali-speaking people, including children, and gang-raped over six lakh women. Over one crore families were uprooted from their ancestral homes and lands during that period.
