KAILASHAHAR, March 25 (TIWN): Eventhough various road construction works are left half done in Tripura, but Tripura PWD has no intention to finish the works, affecting the labours badly.

On Saturday,  at Bhagat Singh Hostel (LKailashahar) a press conference was organized by Tripura BRO Civil Workers Association, led by General Secretary Purushottom Roy Barman accusing the state PWD for its negligence in various projects.

National Highway as well as Kumarghat-Kailashahar road are no more under Central organization and fully controlled by the state PWD, and after the handing over of charges it resulted into 10,000 workers workless condition.

However, apart from dumping the whole blame to the Centre state govt's role is reportedly just silent, whereas if PWD wishes, these labours can get works everyday.

Various road works across Unakoti are left paused, but even after multiple deputations and letters given to the Ministers and Govt administration, no development to the issue has been done.

As a result, huge resentment has generated among the workless poor.
