AGARTALA, March 24 (TIWN): 'CPI-M MP Jiten Choudhury would never visit Chitamara village, unless the election was nearby and no contest was there among CPI-M and BJP members', claims BJP Vice President Subal Bhowmik reacting over Jiten Choudhury's badmouthing against BJP, when BJP members donated Rs. 50,000 per deceased families and Rs. 15,000 per wounded people's families. 'What CPI-M has done apart from creating unrest and hatred among the tribals for vote banks? Not only this, using his MP Power, Choudhury is playing politics at New Delhi', said Bhowmik. Jiten Choudhury had shared BJP's meeting with Chitamara deceased families in his FB timeline and mocked at their donation of Rs. 50000 to the families and reacting over the event BJP counter attacked the Ganamukti Parishad leader cum MP Jiten Choudhury who instead of asking the state govt to help the families are busy in bad mouthing against Nation's BSF Jawans. " Jiten Choudhury almost has submitted a chargesheet via facebook account regarding which time, which place, where blood spots were found etc as he knows everything", said Bhowmik.

"Is Jiten Choudhury an investigating officer ? Who gave him right to give the final judgment? Whatever the incident was it will be investigated but most important is to help the poor families which CPI-M has ended with Rs. 10,000/-. If they want to give they should give 5 lakhs rupees and also a job per family", Bhowmik added.

However, BJP demanding further investigation into the case donated Rs. 50,000/- at Party Office. Reportedly, out of 3 families, 1 family was a CPI-M supporter, but State Govt has donated nothing to them. However, Biplab Deb mentioned that investigation is going on and there will be no flaw into the investigation.

It's worthy to mention here that Jiten Choudhury on March 20, at 11.50 PM had uploaded a picture when BJP leaders were visiting the deceased families and wrote " DOUBLE STANDARD : BJP's Social Media Group and a section of media close to them are active in claiming that the three victims of Chitabari are cattle lifters and offenders upon the BSF. Today BJP leaders are shedding crocodile's tear there and valuing Rs.50,000 against each life? IS NOT IT AN INSULT TO THIS BEREAVED POOR TRIBAL FAMILIES AND DOUBLE STANDARD OF BJP? SHAME ON BJP".

BJP reacting over the uploading of the MP, Subal Bhowmik called him Anti-Nationalist and also asked what CPI-M has given to them? 'Jiten is playing politics rather than real sympathy for the families.

It's worthy to mention here that Three tribals, including a woman, were killed and two others injured in BSF firing in southern Tripura, on March 17.

"BSF troopers were on routine patrol when they spotted a large number of locals trying to smuggle cattle to Bangladesh. When asked to stop, the villagers attacked the troopers with sharp weapons and batons. The troopers then resorted to firing and killed three persons," a Border Security Force official told IANS on condition of anonymity.

Two persons injured in the firing at Chittabari village along the India-Bangladesh border were admitted in a government hospital.

However, locals complained to police that two BSF men tried to molest a tribal woman, which was resisted by the villagers before the firing.

The deceased are Man Kumar Tripura, 30, Par Kumar Tripura, 40, and Saralaxmi Tripura, 33. The injured are Jiban Kumar Tripura and Senchandra Tripura.

Senior BSF and police officials along with a large contingent of security forces led by south Tripura's district police chief Tapan Debbarma rushed to the area, 145 km south of Agartala.

Tripura shares an 856-km border with Bangladesh, a portion of which is still unfenced.
