AGARTALA, March 15 (TIWN): AGARTALA, March 15 (TIWN): Tripura is undergoing tremendous petrol crisis and maximum petrol pumps are running dry, especially in capital Agartala due to apathy of State Govt and its lameduck Civil supplies Dept. Businessmen alleged that due to the one day of holiday in Holi, petrol supply was disrupted from Guwahati, resulting dry petrol pumps. However, consumers are unready to accept the excuse as true as one day holiday can not cause such a crisis situation, unless it’s a artificials crisis or black-marketing of petrol during holi or any political campaigning. Agartala’s biggest petrol pump near Durga Bari was found with atleast five hundreds of vehicles standing on road for fueling their bikes.
Reportedly, the crisis increasing across state and the bikers are in much trouble due to the sudden petrol crisis emerged in state.Common men at Agartala were found giving lines for fuel since the morning amidst heated sun. Moreover, there is no guarantee that fuel will be available to them after standing in lines too.
Asking few consumers at Durga Bari petrolpump, they told TIWN, “We need fuel for and has no other option apart from standing in long lines since 3 hrs”. Another person name Subrata Das said, “It’s better to pour petrol in bikes as nobody knows when ‘No-Petrol’ sign will be hanged before every petrol pumps”.
Although, Tripura Food Dept. declines the fact to have any petrol crisis across the state, but in reality public are suffering heavily due to the sudden crisis of fuel.
Across Agartala City atleast 500 people are standing before each and every Petrol pumps. Radhanagar, Durgabari Chowmuhani, Ganaraj Chowmuhani’s BOCs’ have been overcrowded for whole day.
Long queues was observed before a very few petrol pumps, whereas other petrol pumps are going dry. Few other subdivisions also facing the same problem, TIWN reported.
