Why Tripura Govt more interested in building up new School/ College buildings rather than industries ? : unemployment rate went 7,08,941

AGARTALA, March 8 (TIWN): Tripura Minister Tapan Chakraborty who is holding the Depts of both Education and Industry has badly failed to maintain the balance among the two depts. As Industry has been forbidden by Communist Govt. thus out of highest literacy rate, Tripura’s unemployment rate has gone upto 7 lakhs. In the name of school, colleges lakhs of degrees are distributing but there is hardly chances for good job profiles for youths. Instead of building up industry Tripura Govt has announced that state’s every blocks will have English Medium Schools, state will have science English Medium College. When someone will visit the Industry and Commerce Dept website s/he will find all bogus data entry in that dept.

However, allegation raised that as without expenditure and utilization certificate fund has been decreased thus with building construction in 90 : 10 distribution a huge amount of fund will come in Tripura’s Govt’s fiancé dept and thus the govt is much interested for new school/ college buildings.

But question rasies, 10,323 teachers’ job if gone, how these schools will run. TET qualified candidates are much less in number and maximum schools are running teacher-less. In this condition  who will measure the quality of education.

However, whenever CPI-M govt took initiative for industries it resulted pathetically. On Tuesday after cabinet meeting Chakraborty said, "To educate the children properly and to prepare them at par with the national standard, state government would ensure at least one English medium school in all the 58 blocks in the state by next year”. Chakraborty lambasted the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for saffronisation of the education system in the country and stressed the need to give future generation lesson about tolerance.

On the other hand a huge number of unemployed youths to go for hunger strike for an uncertain period of time if vacancies are not filled up in Agriculture and Horticulture Depts. There are huge Vacancies, but no recruitment was held since 6 yrs in Agriculture Dept.

Already guest lecturer run Tripura degree Colleges education quality has been downed since decades. The Colleges have failed to provide any trace of modern technology, neither there are much scopes for skill development. But without learning any lesson, Tripura Govt busy in building degree colleges, whether the present colleges are running without qualified teaching faculties. In the name of higher education, Tripura govt is almost selling degrees and manufacturing unemployed over qualified youths.

The present unemployed youths status is : 7,08,941. But instead of focusing to build up Industries, Tripura Education Dept is busy in circulating degrees but what will the passed out students do with those degrees it has no headache.

While presenting the budget Finance Minister Bhanulal Saha said that in the year 2017-18 two new degree colleges to set up : one is at Udaipur another is at Panisagar. However, all the subjects will be from General line not any technical staff.

Sabroom, Amarpur Colleges which till day do not have science streams would be introduced in the running year, but what about the faculties arrangements the Minister didn't declare.

In the name of skill development Rs. 54 lakhs were sanctioned, but to open a college for degrees as Hotel Management, Aviation,  beautician with compassing facility and with job guarantees and to add professional teachers-----the govt has no desire for all these things.

In the whole budget, for Higher Education plan the Govt ended with referring the construction of common rooms, building etc. While announcing the budget Saha said, ".....introduction of online admission of students in General Degree Colleges during 2017-18 academic session, Construction works in Colleges, vertical expansion of academic building of General Degree College at Teliamura, construction of new academic building at Women's Polytechnic College at Hapania, vertical expansion of academic building at General Degree College, Kamalpur would taken up during 2017-18. Further, steps will be taken up to get accreditation from NAAC for Bir Bikram Memorial College (BBMC), Agartala, Kabi Nazrul Mahavidyalaya, Sonamura".

Thus it can be assumed that what are the Degree Colleges status in Tripura and in this condition more 2 General Degree Colleges establishments are nothing but wastage of central funds and spoiling young generations lives. In these 2 decades of Communist Era, 2 generations already wasted their lives and those few could get rid of Tripura by their talents are living better lives in metropolitan cities.
