UDAIPUR, March 7 (TIWN): Day by day robberies in broad day light has spiked up in Udaipur, especially Atharobla/ Killa areas.
Reportedly, the IDBI Bank manager at Udaipur (Killa Branch) Shiben Bhowmik (39) was attacked by 4 miscreants from bikes and they looted cash 7 thousand from him.
They also looted his mobile worth of atleast 10,000. However, no arrest has been done although police could track the looters with the mobile.
The incident held at Raiyabari Smashan-ghat area, under Udaipur.
Along with Bank Manager Shiben Bhowmik another Bank employee Abhilash Mahanta was injured by those bikers.
A case has been filed at R K Pur Polcie Station, although no arrest has done so far.
It’s worthy to mention here that Killa / Atharobola area, mostly tribal residing area is turning as the den for robbers due to lack of enough security there.
On February 28, atleast 8 lakhs rupees were looted from a vehicle at Atharobola, Udaipur. Reportedly, the miscreants also shoot on the running vehicle and damaged the vehicle.
A 5/ 6 youth led team with pistols in hands stopped a vehicle at Atharobola numbered TR03-F-1587.
Inside the vehicle Farid Mia was inside the vehicle on the way to Dharmanagar. All of a sudden 6 youths came in the spot and one of them was in police attire.
Then they fired in the vehicle and gave threats to give the money to them.
They had many modern arms and sharp weapons with them and Farid Mia had nothing to do but gave them the money.
Such incidents has increased panic among common travelers at Udaipur.
