AGARTALA, March 4 (TIWN): Central Govt which is trying to end the corruptions have been held in various Depts under States Govts, has decided to take an online test through video conferencing to find out MGNREGA working status. After 2 yrs of dismal reports received from states govts, Central Govt now has decided to be more tough to deal with states, especially states like Tripura. As a part of faster development the transparency has been considered as the key to it, which initiated Govt of India to launch Geo-tagging and Asset IDs. Thus, the Central Govt's push for development is showing colours in Tripura's various Depts especially in RD Dept which is heading by Principal Secretary GSG Ayyangar since last 2 / 3 yrs. As per the video conferencing instruction, has been clearly said in a letter to the Principal Secretary that a review meeting on Geo-MGNREGA will be taken via a video conference at 3.30 PM on 7th March-2017. All SGNOs are requested '...to attend the video conferencing on Geo-MGNREGA without any fail to apprise the Ministry of strategy and progress for asset id generation and geo-tagging'.
However, it was also said that on March 24, Geo-MGNREGA monthly review meeting will be held as per pre-schedule noticed on February 22.
The agenda for Video Conference on GeoMGNREGA 7th March, 2017 at 03:30 PM.
Following points will be discussed during the meeting:
1. Targets and Achievements Status of asset id generation
2. Targets and Achievements Status of assets geotagged
3. Registration Status of Gram Panchayats where no MSE is registered
4. Registration Status of Gram Panchayats where MSE is registered but has no asset geotagged
5. Quality of Geotagged Assets
6. Strategy for achieving the targets
It's worthy to mention that Tripura's Target for Asset ID Generation is 49,222 & Target for Geotagging 57,309.
The first test will begin from Agartala-NIC followed by other states.
