AGARTALA, March 1 (TIWN): With 12-charters-of demands Tripura RMSA, SSA teachers sat on protest on Wednesday at Office Lane, Agartala voicing against irregular jobs and salary structures. Reportedly, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) had begun on 2001, whereas Rastrya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyaan (RMSA) was launched in 2009. Thus whereas SSA teachers are doing contractual jobs since 17 years, the RMSA teachers are from 10 years. Teachers and other working staffs complained that eventhough they are working for more than 10 to 17 years, but there is no promotion in their profession till day. Moreover, the 'One-Day-Gap' has exhausted their all hopes, depriving them from all chances to be regular in coming future. However, along with that 156 RMSA LDC and Lab Assts who lost their jobs----the RMSA, SSA teachers also raised voice for them, asking the Govt to provide them alternative jobs.

On Wednesday, the SSA-RMSA teachers, staffs raised 12 demands :

1. To regularize the contractual teachers as fast as possible,

2. 'One-day-Gap' process should be abolished,

3. 'Die-in-harness' should be implemented,

4. Increment should launched to identify senior SSA-RMSA teachers,

5. SSA-RMSA teachers should be allowed to sit in TPSE for Headmaster's posts,

6. EL, LTC and GPF must be given,

7. BRP, CRP, Block Coordinator and office employees continuation process should be stopped,

8. Vacancies under SSA, RMSA would be fulfilled as fast as possible,

9. Transfer process should t be reviewed,

10. 156 LDC and Lab Assistants who lost their jobs need to be provided by alternative jobs,

11.  Teachers under RMSA should given chances to complete their B.Ed degree,

12. Privatization in Education can not be tolerated, the budget should be increased more.

However, there are many posts reported under Tripura Education Dept. but no initiative has taken  to fill up the vacancies and to give some facilities to the RMSA-SSA teachers; which has generated amass anger among the irregular staffs under Tripura Govt.

Many states like Haryana, Himachal, Rajastan, Madhyapradesh, Gujrat, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Kerala, Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur, Tamilnadu etc. have already appointed teachers under SSA on regular basis although it remained non-implemented under Tripura Govt.
