AGARTALA, March 1 (TIWN): 'Amidst pathetic Health Service situation in Tripura, there is no proposal from the state govt to Centre for setting up more Hospitals in Tripura', said Union Minister for AYUSH Shripad Naik on Tuesday. According to Naik Modi Govt has decided to set up AYUSH Hospitals in each and every Districts of Northeast and like Delhi AIIMS there will be AYUSH Hospitals and Colleges and job opportunity to be increased more. But till day from Tripura Health Minister no such proposal was given to the Centre, which is fully unsatisfactory. However, with this comment question raised about the role of Tripura Govt. in dealing with Centre. Whereas Tripura Govt claims that Central Govt is not at all cooperative, but Central Ministers are giving different views. Same happened with the issue of language selection in Entrance Exams. On February 18, Central Health Minister J P Nadda told Tripura Health Minister Badal Choudhury not to issue with nonissues and hold talks with the Centre directly.

Badal Choudhury raised a question that why Tripura students are deprived of giving medical entrance exam in Bengali whereas other states including Orissa, Assam students are allowed to write in Bengali.

Reacting over Badal Choudhury’s claim, Nadda said, ‘Before few days the Central Govt asked all the states to choose the option of language. On that time Assam and Orissa selected the language option with Bengali but Tripura didn’t give any response. So now the Govt is again appealing to see the other state’s facilities, but you are little late in the race. However, it can be taken under consideration and we can discuss”.

He also invited Tripura Health Minister Badal Choudhury to come to New Delhi and sit in a  meeting with him.

However, within a week Tripura students were given that facility to write in Bengali too.

Apart from these issues Fund allocation fiasco also has been the chief reason for debate for the state govt.

NITI Ayog dashboard is upsetting CPI-M in Tripura as it has found out the actual utilized fund.Reportedly, due to NITI Aayog out of 1000 crores only 500 crores fund were slashed under SC / ST fund as 40 % of the fund remained non-utilized.

However, in Central supporting speech, Naik said, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi has instructed all the Ministers to visit Northeast's every states in every 3 months of gap and to take reports of the developmental works there. Any proposal comes from Northeast it should be implemented at the earliest".
