KAILASHAHAR, Feb 18 (TIWN): Tripura Pradesh Congress’s dawn to dusk strike has paralyzed Govt Offices including CJM Office at Kailashahar demanding Dist Hospital’s shifting from the present position and to convert the Dist Hospital into a State Homeopathic College. However, Congress picketers led by PCC Chief Birjit Sinha and Youth Congress leader Sushanta Chowdhury began the strike since early morning 5 AM to evening 5 PM. But the problem occurred when the Congress leaders stopped Dist Magistrate Dhuva Nath to enter inside the Court. A huge clash occurred among police and the picketers on the spot, although police successfully to entered the District Magistrate and another 1st Class Magistrate S Chowdhury inside the court amidst high security. But only 2 judges entered the court whereas other officials were not allowed to enter there. Thus the Court service has been paralyzed. Tension prevailing before the Kailashahar Court and also resentment brewed among the Court officials. Apart from that Congress also burnt tires at 2 places, blocked the road at Kailashahar.
It’s worthy to mention here that demanding a Homeopathic hospital and a Dist Hospital as well as indoor service inside the present Dist Hospital Tripura Pradesh Congress earlier also held many protests at Kailashahar.
Before 4 years the Dist hospital at Kailashahar was inaugurated by CM Manik Sarkar, after the foundation stone was laid by the then Health Minister Tapan Chakraborty.Reportedly, for the sake of Super Special Health Service, at Bhagaban Nagar under Kailashahar Central Govt allocated Rs. 15 crores. But till day the Eye-Dept. is left handicapped there.
The Hospital till day failed to provide indoor service except eye service although at the same time other District Hospitals have launched the services.
However, no untoward incident reported so far.
