AGARTALA, Feb 17 (TIWN): As a part of Chronological development of Railway Connectivity by Modi Govt, state Tripura to get double lane on railway tracks from Recharthal to Udaipur. The work will begin after the Agartala-Kailashahar railline work once begins. Reportedly, the survey on alternative Broad gauge lines has done already and land acquisition process will have in time. The proposed rail route to speed up the trains in future as well as to help in traffic-management on Railway. On last August, 2016 the decision to create alternative BG route’s in Tripura was taken. On that time it was said that the route via Kumarghat-Pecharthal-Dharmanar may help in increasing the speed and accordingly the decision was taken, said Deb. The link was said tol be from Pecahrthal-Kamalpur-Dharmanagar-Agartala-Udaipur-upto Belonia. But presently work on Kumarghat-Pecharthal is in focus. As in one-way the speed remains very slow, thus the double route will speed up the train.

Railway Ministry may issue a notification seeking survey for the alternative railway track to increase train speed and it is near impossible to increase speed of train without having a double track.

It’s worthy to mention here that he Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu during the inauguration of the 6th  BG train service in Tripura via video conference from New Delhi said, “Northeast State Tripura will not be deprived of any modern technology, which will help to increase the train speed in this zone”. “Like other states Northeast State Tripura will be equally treated when it comes for service”, said Suresh Prabhu. “We are next planning to increase train speed upto 100 KM per hour”, said Prabhu.

Recently, the ruling CPI-M leaders also demanded a Railway Division in Tripura, more stations and to maintain the safety purpose. However Prabhu during video conferencing said that safety is the prime focus of the Central Railway Ministry and the Govt is taking further initiatives to upgrade the Railway service, to increase the speed and to expand more railway networks.
