AGARTALA, Feb 16 (TIWN): Whereas BJP, TMC, Congress are begging IPFT, INPT’s support to woo the vote banks of tribal voters, the Bru refugees may be equally treated by the parties in coming days as a major part of the Community is likely convert as Tripura’s Citizen from ‘Refuge’e. Reportedly, the group of Bru Terrorist Chief L V Charki is creating a new regional party with Reangs, with demands of Bru-Land and it will be more powerful than IPFT. For political gains, L V Charki had suggested Brus to stay in Tripura and vote for Mizoram, so that their ‘refugee’ status is fully preserved which will supply funds to the terrorist groups. Moreover, the Reang Terrorist group in the name of a new ‘Reang move’ is taking Rs. 5 from each of the families of Brus across NE. On the one hand it’s benefiting the leaders as L V Charki personally and on the other hand it’s helping as terror fund. But with a shocking development its has been known that from SDM Office Kanchanpur, Bru children are giving PRTC (Permanent resident of Tripura) so that they can study. Moreover, also destroying huge Govt forest lands schools are made for Bru children, which may hamper in future L V Charki’s planning.

So, at the end such incidents has created much tension across Tripura. IPFT, INPT were much to deal and now if another new regional group emerges named Bru it will be just intolerable.The way the regional parties are growing across NE India, the tension is further increasing.

However, before Congress, BJP, TMC reach out them CPI-M is bonding with Brus. But once they get voting rights for Tripura, it can be assumed how oppositions will run after Brus to sympathise them as more than 40,000 voters are already there at kanchanpur.

The way L V Charki is operating is just to spread the violence, drug service and arm-smuggling, resulting placeless condition in NE.

It’s worthy to mention here that  Tripura has already suffered from brutal terrorist attacks and another era of insurgency is mostly avoidable if Tripura CM takes much stronger initiatves to apply pressure on Mizoram and Central Govt.

Bru refugees burnt and damaged atleast 26 local’s homes at Kanchanpur on May 15 causing flare-up of communual riot in Kanchanpur Hilles. Tripura Govt. reportedly after the incident, asked the Central govt. and Mizoram Govt. to take initiatives for Brus repatriation as it causing internal clashes. 

On April 22, 2016 when 30th Assam Rifles Batellion and Karimgnaj police nabbed two Chief Bru leaders named Arunjoy Reang & Dailoram Reang, on Sunday again police of Kathlicherra and 30th Assam Rifles successfully caught another Bru terrorist named Shankar Barman. On July 1st, Assam Rifles 30th Btn nabbed 3 Bru terrorists from Kalachara, North Tripura. On Oct 29; 8 terrorists were nabbed by Assam Rifles 30th Btln and Tripura Police in Hailakandi, North Tripura. With one of them 13 AK 56 were recovered, whereas RDX-bomb were recovered around few KGs.From both the sides firing continued until one died and 7 militants surrendered. The name of the arrested persons are released by Police are : 1. Hanuman Reang (25), 2. Choula Reang (32), Harendra Reang (30).  On June 12 police of Kathlicherra and 30th Assam Rifles Btln successfully caught another Bru terrorist named Shankar Barman, S/ O- Dhananjoy Barman, residence of Rankhal Punji Dist. Karimganj.

But Tripura Govt’s double game and Mizoram Govt’s non-cooperation is leading much violence across NE.
