AGARTALA, Feb 15 (TIWN): Before controversy erupts and attack come on the ruling party, ‘Kashmir’ book, written by Sidhartha Guha Roy has been banned in Tripura. This book with a surprise has openly called Govt of India and the Armies of the country as ‘Anti-Democratic’ and accused them for creating restless situation over Kashmir. Opposition is targeting CPI-M as the writer Sidhartha Guha Roy is fully CPI-M backed who is specialist on Tram-Labour-Protest in India, the movement which had begun by left front Trade Union. On the back side of the book it is clearly written, ‘Since last 2 decades atleast 50,000 people died at Kashmir…..the 2 reason which are visible behind the clash are : 1. The fight for ‘AZADI’ led by maximum Kashmir people and 2. Pakitan’s Islamic terrorists…and also the arm force of India led many anti-democratic activities since decades. Govts of both India and Pakistan declined to listen Kashmir people’s demands for selfish National Demands. India’s national media also misguided other states’ people about Kashmir, fully ignoring Kashmir’s real history…..’. Whereas Armies are sacrificing their lives at Kashmir, such writers hitting comments are generating much anger among the readers. However, this was exposed when during book fair this book was selling massively in Tripura. One reader Joydeep Chakraborty found the anti-nationalist comments against India and thus he will file a case in the HC.

Talking to TIWN Yuva Sena petitioner he said, ‘Freedom of Speech doesn’t mean to be anti-nationalist. If anyone talking supporting Hindus they are termed as BJP. But the question is about Country’s dignity’.

Chakraborty also confirmed that he has met the lawyers and to file a case on Thursday at Tripura HC.

Presently this book has been banned in Tripura.

Earlier also, Tripura’s Communist CM Manik Sarkar came under huge controversy when on Sep 23, 2016 during NE summite, he said, “India Govt is doing Dadagiri (Big Brother attitude) over the its neighboring countries. Not only BJP, but TMC also protested CM’s comments and asked why CPI-Ms have so much sympathy for China and Pakistan ?

Moreover, the writer Sidhartha Guha Roy another available book is ‘Modern East Asia : China and Japan’.
