AGARTALA, Feb 14 (TIWN): Muralidhar Rao, National General-Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party said that Tripura’s achievement in Geo-service is only 6 %.
‘This is a way to drop out the transparency’, said the leader.
The government has allocated Rs 48,000 crore to the scheme in this year's Budget. The rural development ministry is expecting more funds at its disposal for the next fiscal, having managed most of its dues for 2016-17., but everything will be kept under Geo tracking. From now vague submission of MGNREGA audit reports have remained no more easy for the corrupted RD Dept. officials.
Apart from that Tripura left with 5 % in status of Category B work, with worst performance among all Northeast states, work completion rate is 6 %, said Rao.
Moreover Tripura’s Social Audit Unit found having no bank account yet.
Centre also noticed Tripura Govt for hiding reports under MGNREGA and it was said that no audit was done properly in 2016.
