AGARTALA, Feb 10 (TIWN): Eventhough Tripura Govt data professed about state’s 97 % literacy rate, but the teaching quality and its teachers’ quality are often come under doubt. Giving a blow to the Right to Education Era, a 12 years girl student named Niharika Biswash was beaten to serious injuries on Friday by a school teacher. But the Principal has refused to inform any such incident in last few days. The matter disclosed when opposition BJP staged protest at Barjala H S School on Saturday. The protesters gheraoud the school and later met the school teachers, but what actually happened nobody wanted to disclose. However, at IGM Hospital she was admitted with the registration number 6,072 & the disease has been written in the prescription as ‘Alleged assault by school teacher’. TIWN collected the doctor’s prescription from a very reliable source, where brain CTscan’s instruction has been given clearly. The medicines were prescribed very powerful. Reportedly 4 medicines were prescribed by the doctors including high powered pain killers.

But what surprises is that the school authority was maintaining full silence about the issue and tried to dump the matter. But with the opposition raised voice the matter exposed.

However, her condition is better than before and reportedly she was later released from the hospital. But if any pain is felt on head, she was advised to consult immediately to the doctor.

More surprising matter is that Tripura Govt is propagating its high achievements in Education with the help of student unions named SFI, DYFI but when the girl was injured so seriously they were silent; neither the Commission For Women came out to support her.
