KAMALPUR, Feb 8 (TIWN): What happy understanding! What a service to the people! The gamblers continue their anti-social deeds at ease. And police remains reluctant as if they have to do nothing in this regard.

The happy land of the gamblers gets set at Durai Shibbari area at this subdivision. And both the tir and card gambling continues here.  The tir gambling agents Goutam Debnath, Kanu Debnath and Chutan Namasudra have been virtually ransacking the locality. Employees, businessmen, labourers, housewives and even students have been trapped by them. Several businessmen have been bound to shut up their enterprises. Many families have become detached.

 Not only this, the card-gambling continues here in two shops throughout the day just opposite to Durai Shibbari Class XII School. The gmblers gmble at open by the Kamalpur-Ambassa road. Now, local people have informed the police of Kamalpur Police Station several times. But probably due to some huge monetary pacts, police is never found keen against this menace.
