AGARTALA, Feb 6 (TIWN): Since CPI-M created ADC in Tripura, hefty amounts of funds have been releasing from Centre. But on that time many intellectual section of people including Amra Bangali opposed the ADC formation and they told CPI-M on that time that 'it’s a poisonous tree (or Bisha-Briksha in Bengali)'. Later, instead of developing ADCs, massive central fund had been looted by the ruling party and thus till day no-development has come in Tripura ADC areas. Amra Bangali has called the press meet on Monday seeing the young stars of Tripura going in wrong directions. The tribal youths who didn’t even born at 80’s time they are demanding Twipra land. Slamming the demand of Twipra Land Amra Bangali Chief Harigopal Debnath said that if Twipra Land is made, not only the Bengali people but including Chakma, Lusai and other communities as Manipuri’s living will become impossible; neither any development will come.

The Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) Act 1979 was passed by the Indian parliament after a series of democratic movements launched by the Indigenous people of Tripura, under the provision of the 6th scheduled of the Indian constitution.

But it actually came into being from 18 January 1982 and later it was upgraded under the provision of the 6th schedule to the Indian constitution with effect from the 1 April 1985 by the 49th amendment to the Constitution of India.  But the TTAADC eveafter ruling by Tribal leaders as Radha Charan Debbarma, no development could be brought here.

Although protesting against regional parties for a separate state’s demand the left front party always attempts to show itself as unbiased and unfollwed by Tribal-Bengali clashes; but the ultimate question which remained unsolved yet is why after enjoying the special category and receiving crores and crores of funds in the name of hill-developments the ADCs are not yet developed.

IPFT, INPT, NCT have jointly called for a 12 hrs strike in ADC protesting Citizenship Bill-2016. The leaders saying against the bill told media that Modi Govt can send other Countries immigrant people to places like Andaman Nikobar, why in Tripura?

Talking on the background of IPFT, INPT, NCT for their illogical demands about a separate state, Tripura opposition parties are blaming the State Govt as responsible for raising such thoughts in Tribals mind. In the name of Tripura Ganamukti Parishad, CPI-M trying to limiting the power of regional parties, so that ADC areas remain under CPI-M’s control, but at the same time instead of free flowing of Central funds ; the Ministers and MPs hardly visit the ADC areas to check the developmental status.
