AGARTALA, Feb 3 (TIWN): NSS held a special camp at Bani Vidyapith Girls’ School.
Minister Ratan Bhowmik inaugurated the programme. A blood donation camp also organized at there on that occasion.
Minister Ratan Bhowmik also gifted books to the students there.
National Service Scheme, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports Govt. of India, popularly known as NSS was launched in Gandhiji's Birth Centenary Year 1969, in 37 Universities involving 40,000 students with primary focus on the development of personality of students through community service.
Tripura students as a part of extra curriculum join NSS which also aware them about the social knowledge.
