AGARTALA, Feb 3 (TIWN): Resentments gripped Rose Valley investors as the State Govt is not taking any initiatives to refund the chit-fund cash from the capital invested in Rose Valley. Although the state government has started the process of identifying investors allegedly duped by Ponzi farm Rose Valley Group of Companies but there is no announcement to make way for refund of their money. On Thursday also at Amarpur and Dharmanagar the properties were seized, after the State govt seized Agartala properties but nothing is clear whether the Finance Dept will refund the depositors with basic amounts or not. On last January 6, as per Tripura Govt’s instruction the depositors had to hand over the original Chit-Fund documents of Rose Valley to the CID at Agartala Office. However, why the Govt has sought the original documents it’s yet not clear, neither CID disclosing anything regarding this.

The hapless customers who lost their all savings in Rose valley company, had queued up in lines for 3/ 4 days at CID Office. But without any receipt copy, the original documents were taken away from the customers. Rose Valley and other Chit fund companies duped Tripura investors over Rs 1273 crores.

After the customers asked a written document, then without any seal the receipts were given to the customers just with a signature of the police official, whereas the police officials are signing their original names or not, it’s not yet clear.

Neither Tripura Finance Minister could assure in the Assembly about the total amount of depositors under this Rose Valley. Moreover, the Chief Minister said recently that chit fund is a forgotten issue ? But what about the refunding of depositors money ? Even Orissa Govt took various initiatives in refunding of Rose Valley including online complain registering system, but the Tripura Govt has no headache regarding this.

When the chit fund issue is raised it calls back many miseries of poor people since 2008 when CM Manik Sarkar inaugurated the Rose Valley Park in Agartala, who couldn’t understand on that time that their hard earned moneys will go to dustbin like this.

Tripura Chief Minister turned the ambassador of Rose Valley Chit fund group and sharing dais with the owners of Rose valley in 2008, but later CPI-M clarified that Rose Valley is a forgotten story. In this condition a chaos created across Tripura regarding Rose Valley after 8 years of the scam.
