AGARTALA, Feb 2 (TIWN): 3 rape accused Bapi sarkar (29), Abhijit Sarkar (28), Rakesh Debnath (30) have been produced before the Court on Thursday with the allegation Gang-Raping a woman at Agartala on the occasion of Saraswati Puja. However, the decision of the Court yet to be known. On the occasion of Saraswati Puja a housewife was raped by 5 persons among them 3 have been arrested. Reportedly she was proposed for a job by Bapi Sarkar and on the day of Saraswati Puja it was Bapi Sarkar who took her to Adarini Tea garden with the excuse of job interview. But seeing more 5 young men there, she wanted to escape from the spot but failed. The 6 person raped her there one by one and also caused physical injuries to her. Then they attempted to murder her but she managed to escape from the spot and ran towards the highway and fortunately she met the public and told them everything. Getting informed police rushed to the spot. This woman was also tortured at her law’s house and was staying alone in rent at Motor Stand.

Surprisingly after the incident a group of women came to Women PS and alleged that the woman is actual culprit and Rakesh Debnath was very innocent in that case.

However, after the incident, question have raised regarding the security of women in Tripura under DGP K Nagraj, where on broad day light the hapless woman was raped brutally and in return even after court’s judgment and medial report came to police, the public have begun to call her a ‘prostitute’, rather than asking the men…. for what purpose they were meeting her there at Tea-Garden, if they were so ‘innocent’?
