AGARTALA, Jan 31 (TIWN): No party change, but this time the opposition parties will align together in Assembly Election-2018 preserving their own party-identities. Atlast the oppositions have understood that without alliance it will be quite tough to defeat CPI-M in Tripura. In this regard asking Biplab Deb he said, ‘CPI-M’s long regime should be abolished from Tripura and the Assembly Election should confirm the ruling party’s defeat’. Trinamool MLA Biswabandhu Sen said, “All the anti-left parties should be together ahead of Assembly Election”. However, Tripura Pradesh Congress reportedly will not go for any alliance.Tripura politicians are giving one after one shocks to the Tripura voters. It was just before 6 months that Tripura Congress Chief leaders along with Yuva Congress leaders had formed Trinamool and now the alliance has hit Melarmanth party office.

In Congress era also ‘alliance’ was the key to success for Congress leaders in 1987. However, how far this alliance will work out only time will say.

At the beginning TMC was not ready to go for alliance.

On Nov 23, slamming BJP and Congress in Tripura TMC leader Sudip Barman said, “Few political parties do not work for much political change neither they want to defeat the ruling party as example is Tripura’s Congress and BJP”.

“BJP is happy after becoming 2nd in a constituency which shows BJP’s intension here”, Barman said.

Indicating 2nd position gives MLA posts, Barman said, “The reason which made us to leave Congress, was that Congress was willingly making CPI-M as the winner. Our aim was to get rid of CPI-M and it’s CPI-M  who is our chief opponent’, said Barman.

It’s worthy to mention here that the unsatisfying result of TMC, had emerged a gloomy atmosphere at newly inaugurated TMC Bhawan at Agartala Jackson Gate on that time, which was inaugurated before 5 months with the aim to become the main threat for CPI-M.

But the BJP has shocked the expectation with more than 12,000 votes in bi-election at Barjala constituency, whereas CPI-M is leading with around 15,000 votes.

But BJP always had been calling all oppositions to ‘align’ so that CPI-M defeats. However, nothing has been said officially yet, but before media Biplab Deb and Biswabandhu Sen have given green signal for alliance.
