PANISAGAR, Jan 27 (TIWN): Tripura's Home Minister & Chief Minister Manik Sarkar's penchant for corrupt officials causing Police Dept suffering from identity crisis as State turned into a fiefdom for smugglers, robbers, anti- socials. Under CBI chargesheeted corrupt DGP Nagraj law and order situation in Tripura is deteriorating day by day fueling with the deep slumbered State police. In yet another major jolt, Dharmanagar the SBI main branch at Panisagar was looted by unknown robbers but the incident only disclosed when the bankers came to the office in morning. The Bank has been kept under police investigation and nobody is allowing to enter inside. As per police suspicion, the incident took place around night hours, but they are yet clueless about the miscreants. Tension prevails in the whole area, after the incident was reported. Police is also taking bytes from the local people.

As per the local people’s bytes, such similar incidents are increasing at Panisagar and households remain under threats from robber. Many incidents held in lasts few days, but evenafter several complaints raised by the locals, police remained untraced about the culprits. 

The SBI Office is just near to the Nagar Panchayat Office, which is known as one of the safest place in that area. But the incident came to light on Friday, about four hours since the robbery bid.

The lock was found broken and as per the police suspecting, the incident was held by expert criminals. The total loss is yet unidentified and it’s suspecting that the miscreant who stole the money from the banks also damaged the monitor and two CCTV cameras.  But nothing can be said clearly right now, said a police official.

The Bank Manager’s name is Biswajit Nandi.

All the works have been ceased in the bank for a day. But the unsolved mystery is how without the help of the bank workers, such an incident held. Police are searching for the clues.

The law and order situation across the state is breaking down and the citizens are everyday attacked by robbers, thieves and many murder incidents are being held due to the lack of safety. The North Tripura is also suffering from midnight incidents, mysterious fire incidents, drug-smugglers and other illegal activists.

Most interestingly, on the same night Om Jewellery and another big shop of variety of Ajit Das also looted. The area is just 500 meter Panisagar PS and 100 meter far from SDPO Office.

After the bank robbery incident, local people exposed their anger about police’s slumber around the whole year and also reported  various similar incidents across the whole year.
