AGARTALA, Jan 27 (TIWN): Tripura Congress, BJP are scheduling further protests demanding 7th Pay Commission’s implementation in Tripura.
Apart from that the deserved DA should be given in cash to the employees.
The 7th pay commission had recommended abolishing of 51 allowances and subsuming 37 others out of 196 allowances. On the protest of central government employees, the government set Committee on Allowances headed by the Finance Secretary Ashok Lavasaup to review allowances other than dearness allowance, but no hope for Tripura Govt employees so far !
Congress backed All Tripura Employees Federation (ATEF) during a meeting held at Congress Bhawan announced that the Committee will hold various protests demanding the Pay Commission’s implementation in Tripura.
Recently asking about the 5 % DA hike, BJP President Biplab Deb said, “How can the govt give more DA as it has zero income, no revenue generation”.
However, now the Employees Federation has demanded the 7th Pay Commission’s implementation here as fast as possible. In this regard a rally was also organized at Agartala City on Sunday.
