Although no one was injured in any of the blasts which took place in four locations of Dibrugarh, Tinsukia and Charaideo districts of eastern Assam almost simultaneously, but this incident created panic across Northeast. Such an incident was unexpected. "There is no causality or damage. The militants had planted the bombs in isolated places just to make their presence felt," a police officer said. Militant groups had called for a boycott of Republic Day celebrations in the northeastern region. On the other hand, two explosions took place in the Manipur capital on Thursday but did not disrupt the Republic Day celebrations, police said. The first blast took place in Singjamei area and the second at Mantri Pukhri area near a Border Security Force (BSF) camp where a march past was going on. Sixty-two contingents representing students, cultural groups, police and paramilitary forces marched on the occasion of the Republic Day.

The tension prevails in Tripura as the state is suffering from continuous smuggling & militancy threats since few years.

Apart form that from Nigerian to Bangladeshi all are freely entering in State.
