Agartala, June 20 (TIWN): With an endeavor to set up film industries in Tripura, Rup film production house today begun its journey through a gala function. The Rup film production house was inaugurated by the director-cum-producer Indrashis Acharjee at the Muktadhara Auditorium, here today.
Besides, a 3-day long film festival exhibition was also inaugurated today. As a part of film festival, three short films ‘Antorikatar Jonne’, ‘Oneker Modhye Ekjon’ and ‘Aparajita’ would be screened today.
In her tiny speech, guest of honour- Atithi Debbarman thanked to Rup film production house for their challenging step in Tripura. “We will watch movies and will try to learn something from the new movies’, she said.
The prominent writer and dramatist Agni Kumar Acharjee in his address stated that no remarkable film is being created in Tripura though there are lots of talent in the state. “The infrastructure and financial supports are required for a film production house is not available here. There is no scope to express the talents in the state. The commission category of programme is also being stopped in the state since few years. Such in this situation the Rup film production house took step to establish films in Tripura. It is a big challenging job for them”, he added. To create the film industry, preliminarily the production house has to accept some truth and financial loss. If any the production house creates any good quality film, it would surely run in the state, he said.
The director-cum-producer of Kolkata- Indrashis Acharjee remained present as chief guest and inaugurator of the programme.
