AGARTALA, Jan 5 (TIWN): Whereas the NRIs and Indian travelling abroad got relief to some extent, after RBI had given a grace period of six months to deposit up to Rs. 25,000 of demonetized 500 and 1000 rupee notes to them, on the other hand the oppositions have begun immediate reaction over it, as a part of their Anti-Modi & Anti-RBI protest. ‘Demonetization’….. has become a hot-cake for the oppositions to draw the mass-attention and to gather the public-sympathy. The oppositions are not leaving a single stone unturned to slam the Central Govt and naturally RBI’s decision has given them an issue of their ‘desire’. In a press meet on January 2nd, Congress Spokesperson Piysush Kanti Biswas said that whereas the Prime Minister has given relaxation for the NRIs, on the other hand the poor Indians have been suffering in long queues before bank lines. He is nothing but an NRI Prime Minister, said Biswas.

However, the comment of Piyush Kanti had heated like anything in the BJP Party offices as it was done special for NRIs as no prior notice was given to them regarding demonetization.

As per the RBI notice it was said that in order to deposit the old notes in the bank, the NRI’s have to get the demonetized currency first to the customs officials and get their declaration form stamped by them. The declaration form along with the demonetized currency should be submitted to the specified Reserve Bank branch, this after the 50-day window to deposit old notes in bank ended on December 30th.

Issuing that incident Congress, CPI-M, even Trinamool didn’t leave any opportunity to term the Modi Govt as ‘Anti-People’ & ‘Anti-poor’ govt. However, the common people yet do not have much complaints regarding the issue of demonetization, but the oppositions are crying over it.

However, as a part of challenge BJP has claimed that oppositions are trying to confuse the masses, but after receiving less negative response, they are doing all these ‘dramas’ instead of aiding the Govt.
