AGARTALA, Jan 2 (TIWN): CPI-M never thought that such a central govt will be emerged in India, which will make all setting to fight back all the corruptions in the country. But with the sudden change of the Central govt, the 23 yrs of slow-move of Tripura CPI-M Govt is now under heavy threat which is leading the politicians to throw various comments about the Modi govt now a days. While discussing with TIWN about Geo-tacking under Central Govt’s scheme for MGNREGA, Tripura CPI-M State Secretary Bijan Dhar said that the Central Govt is giving major shocks to people one after one and CPI-M has problem with that only. “We are not against Geo-tacking or any other corruption, but why without any pre-announcement the declaration is given by the Modi Govt?”. Dhar added. Dhar further said that in India such digitization and hundred percent cash-free society is not possible so soon, but the Centre is giving as much as shocks as possible.

But surprising matter is that whereas due to the case filed by Oppositions leader Birjit Sinha, Tripura MGNREGA Scam had come under SIT inquiry, but the Chief Minister himself is boosting high about Tripura’s achievement in MGNREGA since last 2 years.

Manik Sarkar recently in a programme held at Agartala Gramin Bank said that Tripura has given an exclusive achievements in MGNREGA till day and the RD Dept officials should focus on more achievements under this scheme.

Although Tripura’s highest Mandays award was snatched after the Central RD Dept. found huge embezzlement of MGNREGA funds and mandays, CM Manik Sarkar repeated the same talks at Agartala that Tripura became first for MGNREGA mandays. “Bring same award this yr too”, said Chief Ministe

It’s worthy to mention high Court has ordered to begin SIT inquiry upon the Rs. 1.50 crores Panchayat scam held during last two financial years.  A case was filed by opposition MLA Birajit Sinha, who brought serious allegations against the concerned authorities of Kailasahar, Srinathpur Gram Panchayat under Gournagar RD Block, Unakoti District for “non implementation of Govt. Projects: IAY

House, MGNREGA and Fishery”, after many protests held by Congress on that time. Talking to Sinha recently he told TIWN, ‘I raised the matter before the Joint Secretary of Union ministry of RD Department at Delhi, attaching a copy with the state Chief Secretary Y P Singh against misappropriation of public money by Srinathpur and other RD Blocks”.

However, on that time as the MGNREGA ombudsman was judge N K Sinha who later proclaimed that all the allegation brought by Sinha are false. Delivering his report N K Sinha told the Govt of Tripura that no embezzlement of fund was done by any Panchayat there.

The report was sent to the Centre and Central RD Dept further replied to Birjit Sinha that his allegations have been proven as wrong, which led Sinha to knock the door of High Court, and HC ordered SIT to investigate the case further.

As per High Court order SIT will investigate the case, but this is the same investigation committee which has  failed to submit any report on Chit-fund evenafter the deadline crossed. In this regard TIWN asked Birjit Sinha what will he do if under SIT the investigation gets slow. Sinha replied, “We will make a Counter Committee in this regard, so that the investigation goes smoothly”.

“The committee will ‘help’ SIT”, Sinha said.

After all these shocks received from various states, Central Govt launched the Geo-tracking, which fall like thunder over CPI-M Govt’s head.
