Gandachara (Dhalai), June 18 (TIWN): Commander 21 Sector Assam Rifles (AR) Brigadier A S Berar Wednesday meets with the young tribal aspirants of armed forces, who are undergoing a comprehensive training programme by 15 Assam Rifles at Nabadapara in Gandachera subdivision of remote Dhalai district in Tripura.
Assam Rifles has taken an initiative to make the tribal youths of the state to aware them about the basic parameters of recruitment and train them so that they can crack the process and join armed forces and serve their nation.
Good number of youths turned out who were motivated by the DIG AR so that they go through the recruitment rallies and fullfill their dream of joining the armed forces.
This initaitive of 15 Assam Rifles is being simultanously undertaken at all the Company Operating Bases in the Area of Responsibility.
The event emphasized the importance of reaching out the populace and working towards “WHAM” (Winning hearts and mind) and highlighted the motto of the AR, “Friends of the Hill People”. The villagers appreciated the opportunity provided to interact with the DIG and expressed their gratitude for enhancing liaison and coordination.
