Cashless transaction fails to kick off in Tripura Health Centers from New Year : CPI-M’s intentional delaying of ‘Cashless Economy’ helping to sustain corruption

AGARTALA, Jan 1 (TIWN): As expected, under CPI-M govt only bluffs are available, whereas in reality no infrastructure is accessible. Without confining to the health Centres Tripura Govt announced that the ‘cashless-transaction’ will begin from Jan 1st, 2016,whereas asking the IGM Head, Radha Debbarma it was known that due to unavailability of the infrastructure the progress for cashless transaction has not been not possible. Now question arises, why the State Govt announced about cashless-transaction in 2 hospitals, which created much confusion among the mass? After the Chief Secretary Y P Sing announced almost before 20 days that people can use their debit cards in GB and IGM Hospitals from January, the public took a sigh of relief as due to less cash public are facing much troubles. It was assumed that not only in CNG, Petrol pumps and shopping malls, but the cashless transaction will be possible in health centres too. From January month, 2017 in IGM and GB Hospital anybody can make cashless transaction, the Chief Secretary of Tripura Y P Singh himself declared. However, along with cashless transaction, the cash-transaction will be available, said Singh on that day.

Demands were there that cashless transaction should be in every govt hospitals across the state, but unfortunately under CPI-M govt the smooth digital move is not possible which has been proven again on the day of New Year, marking the 1st day of the year as a failure for the Tripura Govt.

On the other hand 15 days ago Agartala NIT has introduced all cashless transaction as a part of Modi Govt’s move for cashless economy. This is the first degree college to take such a modern technological step, but being the govt in power the CPI-M Govt has failed to bring minimum revolution in 2 prominent hospitals of Tripura.

On the one hand Manik Sarkar says that cashless transaction is not possible for country like India but on the other hand the Govt is not ready to take minimum initiatives for cashless-society.

However, hopefully the dragging for cashless transaction will begin soon in Tripura too as with the Modi Govt’s initiative atleast people can raise question for transaction only by Debit cards. Apart from Hospital, already few CNG Stations are giving chance for the cashless transaction, which will be launched in petrol pumps also.

Now question arises how cashless transactions will diminish the corruption in the state.

There are various types of corruption: 1. Bribe, 2. Counterfeit Currency, 3. And other type of corruptions

1.     In India on road bribe in one year is about 2,200,000 million INR. It is the small part of corruption. There are many type of laws to reduce it. But government and system fails to stop it. There are many places of bribe, police station is on the top of them.

2.     Corruption is only possible due to low class banking system and cash economy. In India 98% of corruption exist only for due to cash system, says a data. This is the main advantage of cash that cash is not traceable. Cash also is not accountable. Cash cannot controlled by government. Cash can used easily in everywhere of country.

3.     E-transactions are safe, low time consuming and transparent. Government can easily trace overflow of money like corruption money or black money in someone's account. Government easily find out to the black money.

A source said that in coming days, all transactions above a certain amount cannot be made in cash. Instead, they must be made using debit cards, credit cards, checks, or bank transfers. This means that any large transaction can be traced. Further, large cash withdrawals or deposits should be disallowed. This means that one cannot draw large amounts of cash to make a dodgy transaction.

It is estimated that around 50% of Indians didn’t not even have bank accounts, and with Modi’s initiative all will come under bank-service atleast people will bound to learn banking.

Although CM Manik Sarkar said, he can not be in the central committee for cashless transaction, but his own state will see a revolution in cashless transaction and hopefully corruption to be reduced a lot.
