AGARTALA, Dec 16 (TIWN): BJP positioning itself as main opposition in Tripura as Congress MLA Ratan Lal Nath enacted the first drama before joining BJP by praising Modi’s demonetization. Although he made it very clear on the spot that he will not join in BJP and said, ‘Do not think I’m going in Modi party’. The issue raised when Congress MLA Gopal Roy raised the topic of ‘Demonetization’ and asked the Assembly to send a combined report on the negative issues of demonetization to the centre from Tripura. Then CPI-M leaders also supported the issue and when Speaker Ramendra Ch. Debnath asked for voting on it, everyone raised hands.

All said, “Yes”; but a voice said, “No…”, which left the Assembly with roar of laughters & that was Ratan Lal Nath.

Nath said, “For demonetization, temporary problems are facing by the people that’s true but it will diminish soon. Whatever Modi govt has decided, this will fight against many ongoing issues of the country. Such steps earlier very few Govts had taken”.

Nath continued demonetization supportive speech also went against his Congress friend MLA Gopal Roy. On that time Finance Minister Bhanulal Saha said, “The way he is praising the BJP govt, I think another chair we need in the Assembly for BJP”.

Counter attacking against all the allegations Ratan Lal Nath said, “If I go to my area, public call me as CPI-M agent, when I come to Assembly you call me BJP…”.

However, boosted by demonetization issue CM Manik Sarkar said, “This is the worst decision by the Indian Govt ever taken in India”. About cashless economy he said, “Cashless economy is not for India, may be for other countries”.

Ratan Lal Nath again charged CPI-M and said that ‘during Rajib Gandhi’s time you people protested against computer and now everyone is carrying mobile phones pockets? Why this hypocrisy?’ However Manik Sarkar replied, he has no love for any digital mission and bears no machine with him.

With all these Assembly on the second day had heated up and ended without in clashing mode against the Congress MLA.
