AGARTALA, Nov 21 (TIWN): One day ahead of bi-election, Tripura BJP State President Biplab Deb told TIWN that BJP is much confident about a positive result in this bi-election, which is to be announced on Tuesday for Barjala and Khowai constituencies. Asking him about the expectation of BJP in the bi-election result, the President further asked TIWN correspondent, ‘As a media representative what you expect ?...my expectation is huge as the statistics says how in this 2 yrs of Modi governance, BJP has been simultaneously becoming popular’. ‘We are expecting to wipe out all dark oppositions as TMC, Congress and to emerge as the strongest opposition in Tripura, which will down CPI-M in Assembly-2018’.‘It’s true that Modi Govt came in power just before 2 yrs, but from that time, BJP is becoming widely popular in Tripura, the beginning of which was started by 5 Panchayats’. Deb further said, ‘In ADC Election BJP never submitted nomination papers also, but it was powered with 9 % vote last time, which was also considered as the 2nd position. Then a bi-election was held at Pratapgarh and Surma constituencies and BJP again emerged as the opposition party there’.
‘Surprisingly in local body election among 20 seats BJP came out with 14 % vote and 12 seats altogether’, he added. Deb stressed on the Amarpur bi-election which held in February and claimed that with 24 % and 30 % BJP growth was followed while 3.2 % votes only remained for Congress.
'Then Village committee election also with 5 and 10 seats BJP did excellent', he added.
‘Now this bi-election is everyone’s focus, where TMC brought film stars to advertize but the persons who came to propagate TMC but all of them are accused for Sarada scams including Satabdi, who was noticed by CBI. But the parties tried to confuse the mass a lot, and with the election result all the confusion will be cleared. Public,I believe, have given votes accordingly and TMC was not created by masses, but they ownselves created the party for own gains’, Deb said.
However, Deb mentioned that at Khowai the communists are yet more powerful, where BJP is expecting to come in 2nd position. But he expressed happiness as from the 38 booths of Khowai BJP has recived 78 polling agents, which is a great achievement. He further claimed few ragging disruption at Khowai, whereas at Barjala ‘No Ragging could be held by CPI-M’, which has ensured about BJP's winning at there'.
‘Although only 2 yrs, but I believe that 2018 will be the end of CPI-M era and tomorrow’s bi-election result will be the first sign of BJP’s becoming the next ruling party of Tripura after 2018’, he claimed.
