KAILASHAHAR, Nov 14 (TIWN): Social Welfare Minister on Monday inaugurated a one day long workshop on the occasion of Children’s Day-2016.
The programme was organized with the joint initiative of Unakoti Dist administration and Panchayat. Social Welfare Minister Bijita Nath inaugurated the programme by lightning the candle.
Jilla Parishad Sabhadipati Kalpana Debnath chaired as the president of the programme.
Addressing the people present there Minister said that a workshop doesn’t only mean to give data but it also about raising the problems faced in a project.
Anganwadi workers, along with taking care of a child at her / his school would be concern and aware about the condition of the family of the child.
‘We are solely responsible in children’s growth and development’, said Nath.
However, proclaiming the ruling govt’s well-functioning condition here she said, ‘In state the domestic violence cases hav been diminished. Already 17,000 people are getting the allowance and more development to come in state’.
Addressing the workshop MLA Samiran Malakar said, ‘About various scheme the awareness to be brought in rural areas’.
‘To give a better future to the children is our responsibility. Every section of the society including the Panchayat, Anganwadi workers need work extrafor it, said Malakar.
Municipality Chairperson Minati Bhattacharjee, Gournagar Panchayat Samiti Chairman Shanti Sinha, Chandipur Panchayat Samiti Chairman Madhumoy Malakar, Kumarghat Panchayat Samiti Chairman Durga Laxmi Debbarma were also present on that occasion.
