Agartala, June 5 (TIWN): The dominance of city based schools continues as students of Netaji Subhash Vidyaniketan and Sishu Bihar have bagged eight positions in the top-ten elite list in the this year’s Madhyamik examination results.
Two students of Sishu Niketan HS School, one each student of Dharmanagar Girls’ School and Halahali HS School (Kamalpur) have also made it way in the top-ten elite list.
In 2014 Madhyamik examinations, the average pass percentage stood 68.78 percent while it was 66.39 in the last year, according to the results declared at TBSE office, Gurkhabasti here today.
Altogether 32,867 students appeared in the examination while 22,607 examinees have managed to clear their Madhyamik hurdle but the pass percentage was very low in the TTAADC-run schools with 45 percent pass-percentage.
Announcing the results, the TBSE president Amitabh Debraoy said the male pass percentage and female pass percentage are 70.84 percent and 66.56 percent respectively.
Interestingly, the pass-percentage was nil in 16 schools while as many as 118 schools registered cent-percent pass in this year’s Madhyamik examinations, he said.
Expressing satisfaction over the increase in pass percentage, Mr. Debroy said those students who want to recheck their answer scripts are requested to apply on board prescribed format in their respective schools by June 16 next.
And self evolution of answer script would be allowed for 25 days starting June 16.
Among the eight districts, the South district regard highest pass percentage with 82.47 percent following by Gomati district (78.62) and West district (73.72).
