AGARTALA, June 4 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar today said that Pakistan's Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) had connection with the massive arms deposit recovered by RAB in Satcherri of Bangladesh on Tuesday.Speaking to reporters at the civil secretariat here today, the CM said that the base inside jungles of Satcherri under Habiganj district of Bangaldesh, where the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) recovered over 200 rocket launchers among other heavy armaments, previously used to be base of the All Tripura Tiger Force (ATTF).
Intelligence reports said that the base was later captured by the National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT), he added.
Asked about his take on inter governmental cooperation from Bangladesh in the context of the recovery, Sarkar said that the move by Bangladesh was very helpful by unearthing the massive arms dump. "These arms are those used for large scale war situation. We consider these to be of high risk proportions for internal security of India", he said.
