Agartala, May 30 (TIWN): In a tragic road mishap, an employee of Tripura Police was died on the spot around 10.45 am at Salbagan area, this morning.

The deceased was identified as Bimal Das (29), Constable of Tripura Police,  a resident of Tulabagan area under Mohanpur sub-division.

Police sources confirmed that bike rider Bimal Das while proceeding towards Agartala, a Bolero car bearing the number TR01-H-1534 dashed the bike bearing the number TR01-J-7409 from front side at Salbagan turning near market. As a result bike rider Bimal died on the spot, an official of police said today.

After receiving the information, police of New Capital Complex police station rushed to the place of occurrence and seized both of the vehicles. According to the eye witnesses, the accident was occurred as because of the rush and negligence driving of the Bolero driver. A specific case has been registered at the NCC police station in this regard. However, police could not arrest the driver of Bolero car.
