KAMALPUR, Oct 12 (TIWN): The four long days of great grand festivity of Durga Puja concludes peacefully and amidst the joyous participation of people.

Just setting aside the fear of untimely shower and occasional drizzling people thronged into the marquees to enjoy the moment of the Puja here at Kamalpur. And the strict vigil of police succeeds to put a stop on any untoward incident. Hence, people enjoyed the days with merriment and glee up to the highest mark.Still, the businessmen fail to pocket much profit like previous years. However, many big budget organizers would not immerse their idols today.

Like previous years, the festivity of Durga Puja remains confined to the attractions of some big budget Pujas like that of Youth Recreation Corner of Old Motorstand or Salema Yuba Sangstha of Salema. At the same time, Apanjan Club of Kamalpur, Arians Club of Salema, Shakti Sangha of Shantirbazaar also attract people throughout the four days. Devotees also spend their time in the pujas of Kamaleswari Kali Bari, Ramkrishna Ashram and Nakful Kalibari.

However, the businessmen fail to pocket profit as they speculated earlier to Puja. Even many businessmen cannot have the profit of the last year. At the same time, the police perform a Himalayan task by keeping the law and order and putting restrain on any untoward incident. In the sad tune of the end of great festivity people start to be ready for the worship of Goddess Laxmi, the goddess of rich, wealth and affluence.
