Tripura adopts GST bill

AGARTALA, Sep 27 (TIWN): The long awaited GST bill finally passed in Assembly, without any inquiry raised by Opposition parties.
Finance Minister Bhanulal Saha announced about the bill which didn’t lead any controversy & the bill was passed.
GST stands for "Goods and Services Tax", and is proposed to be a comprehensive indirect tax levy on manufacture, sale and consumption of goods as well as services at the national level.
The long-delayed GST Constitution bill was passed by Parliament on August, marking a historic step for tax reforms which Prime Minister Narendra Modi said was “crucial” for ending tax terrorism besides reducing corruption and black money.
